Overtime Rates
The BCEA stipulates the following overtime rates:
- Normal overtime: 1.5x your normal hourly rate
- Sunday overtime: 2x your normal hourly rate
- Public holiday overtime: 2x your normal hourly rate
Maximum Overtime Hours
Employees cannot be required to work more than 10 hours of overtime per week, and cannot work more than 12 hours per day in total.
