SumZA uses authoritative, publicly available South African data sources for all calculations. We verify our data regularly and update our calculators whenever official figures change.

Tax Data

  • SARS Tax Tables 2025/2026 (March 2025 to February 2026)
  • SARS rebates and thresholds
  • Tax Thresholds: R95,750 (under 65), R149,549 (65-74), R166,338 (75+)

Employment Data

  • BCEA minimum rates and overtime provisions
  • UIF contribution rate: 1% of remuneration
  • UIF earnings ceiling: R17,712 per month

Property Data

  • SARS Transfer Duty rates (2026 thresholds)
  • Prime lending rate: 11.75% (subject to change)
  • Bond registration and conveyancing costs (average estimates)

Energy Data
